Craft Time! - Magic Reindeer Food

This is a great project to make with your little ones! Magic Reindeer Food lays a glittering path to guide Santa's Reindeer to your house on Christmas Eve.

Combine the following ingredients in a mixing bowl:

1/2 cup oatmeal

1/2 cup sugar

1/4 cup red and green sugar crystals (for cake decorating)

Attach (or read) the following poem:

Be sure to take this magic food, and sprinkle on the lawn. On Christmas, Santa's reindeer travel miles before the dawn. The smell of oats and sparkling path will guide them on their way. And you'll wake up to Santa's gifts next morn on Christmas Day!

You can also package some of the mixture in ziploc bags and tie them with a ribbon with the poem attached to give out as small gifts.

This is a really cute way to get your child(ren) excited for Santa to come on Christmas Eve!

This is such a great idea! I'm going to print so that I can do this when my son is a little older! Thanks!

Thanks! My SIL did this for my little guy last year, but he didn't understand. This year, however, it totally different! We are going to make snowflake prints from hubby's footprint so that on Christmas morning, it will look like Santa was here. Reindeer food will be a good way to get him curious! Thanks! We will totally do this!
